Reservations
Reservations are made on a first-come first-served basis and are tentative until secured with a non-refundable deposit and signed event agreement. When the deposit is received, Cricket Cinema’s services are guaranteed at your event on that date.

Movie Licensing
If you are hosting your own outdoor movie event on your property, you do not need a public viewing license. Just provide us with the film on a blu-ray/dvd or play a file off of your computer and leave the rest to us.

If the event is at a location other than your property, obtaining a public screening license is required. Our fee does not include the cost of the film license, but we are happy to help guide you through the process of ordering the movie title. Licensing fees generally range from $250-$500, and depend partly on whether or not you plan to charge admission to your event. Licenses for most titles can be obtained by contacting these two providers.

Other Media
The Cricket Cinema is able to present more than just the movie! You can present sponsorship ads, on-screen video games, music videos, live camera feeds, announcements and more. Your choice of media and advertisements should be submitted to us 2 weeks prior to the event. We cannot guarantee the performance of your media if we are not able to test it on our system prior to the event.

Set-Up Procedure
Cricket Cinema begins set-up at the customer’s specified time (typically between 4-6pm). Screen and audio equipment typically take 2 hours to set up and test.  Projection test will begin at dusk.  Breakdown is done at the completion of the movie and typically takes 45-60 minutes.

Payment
A 50% deposit is required to secure the event date. The balance is due prior to set-up at the event.

Weather Policies & Guarantees
Weather is the biggest variable in planning any outdoor event. If the weather looks threatening (imminent rain, rain, looming thunder clouds, dangerous winds capable of damaging equipment) Cricket Cinema reserves the right to protect its equipment by canceling set-up/production, and/or delay set-up or pause the production until suitable weather conditions exist. Cancellation due to inclement weather is at the discretion of Cricket Cinema staff in consultation with the client.

Wind speed and gusts are important factors to remember with outdoor screenings. Gusts or sustained winds of 15mph or more may force the delay or cancellation of the show.  We check Weather.com beginning 24 hours in advance of the screening to assess the situation, and will stay in contact with you.

If inclement weather prevents the complete screening of the film, and there is no appropriate indoor back-up venue, the Cricket Cinema guarantees you one make-up event within one year of the original event date.

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to change the weather, but there are ways to plan for it.  It is strongly recommended that the event organizer has an indoor location secured as a back-up venue. This will ensure that the show goes on no matter what mood Mother Nature is in that day!

Event Liability Insurance
We carry a policy of insurance not less that two million dollars that covers the operation of our equipment, our staff and independent contractors, plus any general and product liability for the period of the event.  Any accident involving Cricket Cinema’s equipment or staff to any outside participant(s) is covered by our event liability insurance coverage. Your name can be listed on our policy for a $25 fee. Requests must be made 2 weeks prior to screening date.
